Product Designer - developing new products and play patterns on Color Wonder team.
Instructor of Record - taught Advanced CAD-CAM, a course in which undergraduate Tyler students continued to develop the 3D modeling and rendering skills acquired in CAD-CAM II. The course focused on precision modeling, 3D printing, mold making, and lost wax casting. One major assignment involved vulcanizing a silicone rubber mold of a 3D printed ring in order to inject wax into the mold so that the part can be cast in sterling silver. The teaching of this course involved developing an original syllabus, generating assignments, and grading.
Instructor of Record - taught CAD-CAM II, a course in which undergraduate Tyler students create tangible work and photorealistic renderings; instructed students how to develop 3D modeling and rendering skills introduced in CAD-CAM I; instructed students how to create solid models in Rhinoceros, verify models for accuracy using Magics, submit models for rapid prototyping (RP), and produce photorealistic renderings of models using Flamingo software; was responsible for developing an original syllabus, generating assignments, and grading.
Industrial Design Intern - modeled children's playsets and toys in Rhinoceros for the Little People team. Completed additional assignments for Imaginext team. Constructed prototypes which were 3D printed onsite. Rendered CAD models in Flamingo and Bunkspeed Shot. Developed four products which will premiere as items for future sale. CAD Lab Monitor – assisted undergraduate and graduate students in questions they had in regards to modeling in Rhinoceros, rendering in Flamingo and Bunkspeed Pro, and fixing stl files in Magics; gave students advice on design aesthetics.
Instructor – led and instructed Jewelry Workshop headed by the Continuing Education Department at Tyler; taught students the basics of working with non-precious metals and sterling silver as an introduction to the lost-wax casting process and jewelry fabrication. Introduced students to wax curving, spruing, investing, casting, sawing, piercing, filing, and soldering which allowed them to create finished pieces of jewelry.
Jewelry Apprentice – apprenticeship that focused on repair work, mainly soldering, polishing, and plating jewelry; also modeled and rendered jewelry in Rhinoceros and Bunkspeed Pro. Also worked with laser welder and impact printer.

These beads premiered as items to buy in the shop’s 2009 winter sale gross sales to date exceed $10,000. Created customers’ rings by sculpting and filing wax, which were later cast in silver and 18-carat gold. Learned how to solder, file, buff, and polish precious metals. Also set diamonds, oxidized silver, and plated silver with gold.
